Vote to pass a bill that requires transgender student athletes play against those of their biological sex.

Highlights:

• Prohibits any student in public or private school or institutions of higher education from playing in athletic competitions designated for the biological sex opposite their birth certificate (Sec. A).

• Defines “athletics” as any interscholastic athletic games, contests, programs, activities, exhibitions, or other similar competitions organized and provided for students (Sec. A).

• Authorizes females in public or private schools or institutions of higher education to compete in an athletics competition that is designated for male students if no corresponding athletics competition designated for female students is offered or available (Sec. A).

• Exempts any public or private school or institutions of higher education that violates the aforementioned provisions from receiving any state funding (Sec. A).

• Authorizes any student or parent or legal guardian who believes they were denied an athletic opportunity as a result of a violation of this bill to have cause of action for injunctive or other equitable relief (Sec. A).
