Highlights:

  • Defines “PFAS” or “perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances” as non-polymeric substances that contain at least 2 fully fluorinated carbon atoms, excluding gasses and volatile liquids, among other substances, PFOA and PFOS (Article 11C).

  • Requires the Department of Environmental Protection by July 1, 2024 identify and address sources of PFA's (forever chemicals) in each of the 34 state water systems and various environmental protections and monitor state drinking water (Article 11C).
