Title: Require Schools Report to Law Enforcement Data on Crimes and Incidents that Occur on Their Property
Vote to pass a bill requires public and private high schools to report data on crimes and incidents that occur on their property.
Requires public and private high schools to report data on municipal disorderly conduct ordinance violations and crimes that occur on their property and between school hours to law enforcement agencies beginning in the 2024-2025 school year (Sec. 3).
Amends the definition for data on municipal disorderly conduct ordinance violations and crimes to include incidents related to (Sec. 3):
Homicide;
Sexual assault;
Burglary, robbery, or theft;
Battery, substantial batter, or aggravated batter;
Arson;
Use or possession of alcohol, or controlled substance;
Possession of a firearm; or
A violation related to disorderly conduct.
Establishes that this bill shall take full effect beginning July 1, 2024 (Sec. 5).
