Vote to pass a bill that requires transgender student athletes play against those of their biological sex.
Requires transgender student athletes participating on behalf of any public or private postsecondary educational institution play against those of their biological sex (Sec. 2).
Requires interscholastic, intercollegiate, or intramural athletic teams or club sports sponsored by the educational institution expressly designate their sports leagues for the following, including (Sec. 3):
Male, men, or boys;
Females, women, or girls; or
Coed or mixed.
Prohibits athletic teams or sports designated for females, women, or girls from being open to students of the male sex (Sec. 3).
Authorizes any student who is deprived or an athletic opportunity or suffered direct or indirect harm or is subject to retaliation by the educational instiution as a result of a violation of these provisions, to have private cause of action for injunctive relief or damages (Sec. 3).
Requires all civil actions for any aforementioned violations be initiated within 2 years of the harm having occurred (Sec. 5).
Specifies that this bill shall take effect upon its passage and publication in the statute book (Sec. 7).
