Title: Expands Access to Extreme Risk Protection Orders

    • District attorneys.

  • Requires the office of gun violence prevention expend annual funds for the public education campaign regarding the availability of the expanded list for individuals eligible to petition for extreme risk protection orders (Sec. 1).

  • Establishes that individuals found to have made malicious or false petitions for an extreme risk protection order shall be subject to criminal prosecution (Sec. 1).

  • Specifies that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 7).
