Title: Repeals State Right-to-Work Laws for Public Sector Workers
Vote to pass a bill that repeals state right-to-work laws for public sector workers.
Repeals previously established state right-to-work laws for public sector workers (Sec. 9)
Authorizes public employers and bargaining representatives to enter into a collective bargaining agreement that requires all public employees in the bargaining unit share equally in the financial support of the bargaining representative (Sec. 10).
Prohibits this bill from limiting an agreement that requires public employees to as a condition of employment pay a membership due or service fee (Sec. 10).
Appropriates $1 million for fiscal year 2023-2024 to the department of labor and economic opportunity for all expenses and inquries related to this bills enactment (Sec. 10)
Specifies that this bill shall take effect 90 days after its passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 10).
