Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that requires all election expenses be paid for with state public funds.
Requires all costs and expenses related to conducting primaries, elections, or runoffs be paid for with lawfully appropriated state public funds (Sec. 1).
Prohibits any county, municipal government, government employee, or election official from soliciting, taking, or otherwise accepting from any individual a contribution, donation, service, or anything else of value for the purpose of conducting primaries or elections or in support of performing their duties (Sec. 1).
Specifies violations under this bill as a felony with a one year prison sentence, $10,000 fine or both (Sec. 1).
