Vote to pass a bill that prohibits a public entity from entering into a contract of $100k or more with companies unless the contract includes a written certification that the company does not and will not discriminate against a firearm entity or firearm trade association.
Prohibits a public entity from entering into a contract of $100k or more with companies or businesses unless the contract includes a written certification that the business does not and will not discriminate against a firearm entity or firearm trade association (Sec. 1).
Defines “company” as an organization, association, corporation, partnership, joint venture, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, limited liability company, or other entity or business association, including a wholly owned subsidiary, majority-owned subsidiary, or parent company or affiliate that engages in for-profit activity and has at least 10 or more full-time employees (Sec. 1).
Defines “public entity” as this state, political subdivision of this state, or an agency, board, commission, or department of this state or a political subdivision of this state (Sec. 1).
Exempts political subdivisions that operate federal reclamation projects from the aforementioned definition (Sec. 1).
