Title: Establishes Gun Free Zones
Vote to pass a bill that establishes gun free zones among various other gun reforms.
Limits retail dealer fees to $70 or less (Page 8).
Prohibits issuance of handgun permit to “someone who has engaged in acts or made statements suggesting the person is likely to engage in conduct, other than justified self-defense, that would pose a danger to self or others” (Page 8).
Prohibits issuance of such permit to person convicted of domestic violence (Page 9).
Prohibits issuance of such permit to person “presently confined for a mental disorder” (Page 9).
Requires written statement of reason for denial of firearms purchaser identification card (Page 13).
Requires that “A transfer of a handgun between or among immediate family members, law enforcement officers, or collectors of firearms or ammunition as curios or relics shall be conducted via the web portal” (Page 14).
Requires handgun carry permits to be endorsed “endorsed by not less than four reputable persons who are not related by blood or by law to the applicant”; establishes $200 application fee for permit (Page 17).
