Title: Prohibits the Non-Vaccinated Terminated Persons from Being Denied Unemployment Benefits
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the non-vaccinated terminated persons from being denied unemployment benefits.
Specifies that an unemployed individual is eligible to receive benefits with respect to any week only if the department finds that the individual (Sec. 23-771):
Has registered for work and has continued to report at an employment office in accordance with the regulations prescribed by the department;
Has made a claim for benefits in accordance with section;
Is able to work;
Has been unemployed for a waiting period of one week; or
Has been paid wages for insured work.
Specifies that the department shall not disqualify an individual from receiving benefits if the individual was terminated from employment for not receiving a COVID-19 vaccine or booster shot required by the employer (Sec. 23-771).
