Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits the medical billing of rape victims.

Highlights:

• Prohibits any medical facility or medical professional that performs a forensic medical examination from billing the victim, their personal insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, or any other collateral source for the examination or other eligible expenses (Sec. 1).

• Defines “forensic medical examination” as an examination provided to a sexual assault victim by medical personnel trained to gather evidence in a manner suitable for use in a court of law (Sec. 1).
