• Defines “collegiate sport or athletic event” as a sports or athletic event offered of sponsored by, or played in connection with, a public or private institution that offers educational services beyond a secondary level (Sec. 3775.01).

• Defines “esports event” as an organized video game competition that is regulated by a sports governing body and held between professional players who play individually or as teams (Sec. 3775.01).

• Defines “professional sports or athletic event” as an event at which 2 or more individuals participate in sports or athletic events and receive compensation, or the potential for compensation based on their performance, in excess of actual expenses for their participation in the event (Sec. 3775.01).
