Vote to pass a bill that establishes electric vehicle requirements for state vehicles.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the purchase or procurement of any diesel-fueled transit bus after January 1, 2024 (Page 3).

• Requires 50% of such vehicles to be battery operated by 2026, 75% to be battery operated by 2028, and 100% by 2030 (Page 3).

• Authorizes plan to implement zero-emission buses statewide (Page 4).

• Specifies that if these requirement are not met by January 1, 2026, the commissioner will submit a report to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly explaining (Page 5):

• Why such requirements were not met and;
