Title: Amends the Department of Health and Human Services Immunization Requirements

Vote to pass a bill that amends the Department of Health and Human Services immunization requirements.

Highlights:

 

  • Requires that all parents and legal guardians of the state have their children immunized against (Sec. 1):

    • Diphtheria;

    • Mumps;

    • Pertussis;

    • Poliomyelitis;

    • Rubella

    • Rubeola

    • Tetanus; and

    • Varicella.

  • Specifies that immunizations against hepatitis B and hemphilus influenzae shall be requires until June 30, 2026, unless otherwise authorized by statute (Sec. 1).

  • Authorizes the commissioner of public health to amend the immunization requirement for 20 months with three-fifths approval of the legislative oversight committee on health and human services (Sec. 1).

  • Establishes that this act shall take effect 60 days after its passage (Sec. 2).
