Title: Amends State Unemployment Compensation Laws
Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that amends state unemployment compensation laws to reduce state tax increases on state businesses.
Amends state unemployment compensation laws to specify the number of weeks an individual shall be eligible to receive benefit payments for to the following (Sec. 1):
26 weeks if the individual became eligible prior to January 1, 2023;
16 weeks if the individual became eligible between January 1, 2024 and January 1, 2025; and
If after January 1, 2025, between 16 and 20 weeks.
Establishes that this act shall take effect January 1, 2023 (Sec. 4).
