Vote to pass a bill that prohibits transgender girls from playing on female sports teams.

Highlights:

• Prohibits transgender girls from playing on female sports teams sponsored by public elementary, secondary school, or postsecondary educational institutions and requires schools expressly designate teams compete in male, female, or coed leagues (Sec. 2).

• Prohibits any governmental entity, licensing or accrediting organization from entertaining a complaint, open investigation, or take any other adverse action against a school for maintaining a separate interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, or club athletic teams or sports for students of the female sex (Sec. 3).

• Authorizes any student deprived of an athletic opportunity or suffers direct or indirect harm as a result of a violation of this bill shall have right to private cause of action for injunctive relief, damages, or any other relief available under law (Sec. 4).

• Establishes that this act shall take effect and be in force after its publication in the statute book (Sec. 6).
