Vote to pass a substitute bill that expands tobacco regulations, establishes taxes, and authorizes the seizure and sale of property.
Prohibits unlicensed purchase, possession, acquisition for resale, importation, or sale of tobacco product (Page 5).
Requires licensure of manufacturers, wholesalers, secondary wholesalers, vending machine operators, unclassified acquirers, transportation companies, and transporters; establishes fees for such licensure (Page 5).
Establishes application criteria, including financial responsibility, citizenship status (Page 5-6).
Establishes procedure for license suspension, revocation, renewal (Page 7).
Requires proper labeling on shipping crates, containers (Page 9).
Authorizes inspections for purposes of Act (Page 10).
Prohibits trade in cigarettes acquired from uncertified manufacturers (Page 11).
