Highlights:

• Appropriates $858 billion for the Department of Defense for fiscal year 2023 including (Div. A, Title I):

• A 4.6% pay increase and 2% housing allowance increase for troops;

• Funding for purchases of weapons, ships and aircraft; and

• $12.6 billion for inflation impact on purchases including $3.8 billion for the impact on military construction projects and $2.5 billion on fuel purchases;

• Repeals the previously required COVID-19 vaccine mandate (Div, A, Title V, Sec. 525).
