  • Requires school districts and charter schools to purchase United States flags manufactured in the United States, with appropriate hardware, to be displayed in classrooms and outside schools (Sec. 1).

  • Requires school districts and charter schools to acquire US Constitutions and Bill of Rights made in the United States to be displayed next to the US flag in classrooms for grades 7-12 (Sec. 1).

  • Requires said schools to set aside a time each day for students who wish to recite the pledge of allegiance to the United States flag (Sec. 1).

  • Requires grades K-12 to set aside at least 1 minute and no more than 2 minutes at the start of each school day to engage in a moment of silence, with the following specifications (Sec. 1):

    • That students may not interfere with other students’ participation;

    • That teachers and other school employees may not suggest the nature of the moment of silence, or suggest any topic of reflection during it; and

    • That teachers shall encourage the parents of students to discuss with their children how best to use the moment of silence.

  • Exempts private schools, parochial schools, and homeschools from all of the above requirements (Sec. 1).
