Title: Repeals Sales Tax on Menstrual Products
Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that repeals the sales tax on menstrual products.
Specifies that public utilities companies are classified as commercial enterprises (Sec. 9).
Requires business owners to file sales tax returns monthly if their sales exceed $1,200 (Sec. 13).
Requires only one sales tax permit per business, regardless of the number of locations from which sales are made (Sec. 19).
Repeals the remittance requirement for businesses that make more than $30,000 in sales (Sec. 24).
Exempts diapers and feminine hygiene products from sales tax (Sec. 43).
Requires businesses contracting with the state to apply for sales tax exemptions no later than one year after the contracted project was completed (Sec. 54).
Reduces the franchise tax by 0.3% per year until 2027 (Sec. 60).
Establishes a $100 fine for violation of the motor fuel reporting requirements for gas businesses (Sec. 65).
Specifies review process for applications for the solar energy system tax credit (Sec. 66).
