Title: Requires Students to Use School Facilities for Gender Assigned at Birth
Vote to pass a bill that requires students to use school facilities for the gender they were assigned at birth.
Requires school adminstrators designate any multi-occupancy shower room, changing room, or rest room, located in a public school, for use exclusively by members of the same sex (Sec. 2).
Authorizes a student to request a school adminstrator for reasonable accommodation if they are unwilling or unable to use the multi-occupancy shower room, changing room, or rest room (Sec. 2).
Defines “reasonable accommodation” to include a single-occupancy shower room, changing room, or rest room, but does not include access to a multi-occupancy shower room (Sec. 2).
Authorizes a student who was denied reasonable accommodation the chance to appeal the decision to he superintendent of the school district (Sec. 3).
