  • Authorizes a municipal legislative body or local district board to cancel an elecion if (Sec. 1):

    • The ballot for the local election does not include any contested races or ballot propositions;

    • The municipal legislative body passes, no later than 20 days before the day of a scheduled election, a resolution that cancels the election and certifies:

      •  the ballot does not include a contested race; and

      • The candidates who qualified for the ballot are considered elected.
