Vote to override a veto of a bill that establishes limits on participation in female sports

Highlights:

• Establishes that a public school or LEA, or private school that competes against a public school or LEA, shall have designated school activities and teams as one of the following (Sec. 3):

• For students of the male sex;

• For students of the female sex; or 

• “Coed” or “mixed”.

• Prohibits a student of the male sex from competing with a team designated for female sex (Sec. 3).

• Prohibits a government entity from taking action against school or LEA for maintaining separate school activities (Sec. 3).

• Establishes an effective date of July 1, 2022 (Sec. 11).
