Vote to override the governor's veto and pass a bill that increases requirements for access to food and medical assistance.
Requires the usage of the cash of public assistance benefits to be tailored to the welfare of the family (Sec. 2).
Establishes penalties for violation (Sec. 2).
Establishes measures to reduce costs and increase the integrity of the program (Sec. 4).
Establishes a community engagement program (Sec. 5).
Requires the Department for Medicaid Services to conduct redetermination of qualifications when its ability to disenroll individuals is restricted (Sec. 7).
Requires a qualified hospital to notify the department within five business days if it determines that an individual is eligible for the program (Sec. 9).
Requires the hospital to provide the individual with a written report (Sec. 9).
Requires the state's medical assistance program to provide coverage for substance use disorder treatment for incarcerated individuals (Sec. 10).
Requires the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet to establish a job placement assistance program to help people enrolled in the state's medical assistance program (Sec. 14).
