  • Requires that public school districts and teachers post their lesson plans and materials online for parents to review within 14 days after being found in noncompliance (Sec. 1).

  • Requires the department of education notify the board of directors of a school district within 14 days if it found a school district as being in noncompliance (Sec. 2).

  • Requires the board of directors of a school district adopt policy procedures for parents or legal guardians of a student to review the instructional materials and post the procedures on their publicly accessible website (Sec. 4).

  • Requires the board of directors of school districts to adopt protocols for the selection, review, reconsideration, and removal of materials from libraries, including a process for parents and legal guardians to request specific library materials not be checked out by the student (Sec. 5).

      • History of theUnited States government.

  • Specifies that the aforementioned civics test assessment shall be the most recent version of the civics test developed by the United States citizenship and immigration services (Sec. 7).
