Establishes requirements for a person to perform an abortion for a minor (Sec. 1).
Specifies information that the court should concern to grant a minor’s petition to self-consent to an abortion (Sec. 1).
Requires all hearings on the merits of the petition to be confidential (Sec. 1).
Exempts a pregnant patient who attempts or conducts a drug-induced abortion from a criminal penalty (Sec. 3).
Specifies the eligibility and responsibilities of a qualified physician providing an abortion-inducing drug (Sec. 7).
Requires an informed consent of the patient prior to providing an abortion-inducing drug (Sec. 8).
Specifies the eligibility of an Abortion-Inducing Drug Certification for pharmacies, manufacturers, and distributors of abortion-inducing drugs (Sec. 16).
Authorizes the parents’ right to determine whether to take or relinquish the responsibility of the final disposition of the fetal remains (Sec. 22).
Requires each prescription whose indication is the induction of abortion to be reported to the Vital Statistics Branch (Sec. 29).
