Vote to pass a bill that reduces the maximum amount of time an individual can receive unemployment benefits.
Amends the maximum total amount of unemployment benefits payable to eligible individuals from 26 to 16 times the individuals weekly benefit amount, whichever is lesser (Sec. 2).
Amends unemployment job search requirements to require that unemployed, underemployed, economically disadvantaged, and dislocated workers accept job opportunities offered in a shared work plan while participating in the shared work unemployment compensation program (Sec. 9).
Establishes that a part-time employee shall be eligible for shared work unemployment compensation program benefits so long as they meet every other work requirement (Sec. 9).
