Highlights:

• Prohibits a physician from providing irreversible gender reassignment surgery to any individual under the age of 18 (Sec.1).

• Authorizes a physician to perform services to or for the following reasons, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):

• Individuals born with a medically verifiable sex development disorder or irresolvably ambiguous external sex charactaristics; or

• For the treatment of any infection, disease, or disorder that has been caused or exacerbated by the performance of gender transition procedures

• Specifies that this act shall take effect after March 31, 2023 (Sec. 2).
