Title: Specifies New Election Security Measures

  • Prohibits any election ballot from being handled without a poll official being present and requires immediate resealment in ballot boxes or other secure containers after handling is complete (Sec. 12).

  • Specifies that any individual found to have intimated a poll officer or election official or threatens force or violence in a manner that would prevent them from executing their duties shall be guilty of a felony (Sec. 17).

  • Defines “intimidated” as to undertake or pursue a knowing and willful course which causes emotional distress by placing another person in reasonable fear for their safety (Sec. 17).
