  • Requires school districts notify parents at the beginning of each school year on the healthcare services offered by the school district and provide the option to withhold consent or decline any specific service (Sec. 1).

  • Requires that before administering a well-being questionnaire or health screening form to students in grades k-3, the school district provide the questionnaire to health screening from to the parent and obtain their permission (Sec. 1).

  • Requires that by June 30, 2023 the Department of Education shall review and update the following, including (Sec. 2):

    • School counseling frameworks and standards;

    • Educator practices and professional conduct principles; and

    • Any other student services personnel guidelines, standards, or frameworks in accordance with this act.

  • Establishes that this act shall take effect July 1, 2022 (Sec. 3).
