  • Requires that an interscholastic athletic team, sport, or athletic event that is sponsored or sanctioned by an educational institution or organization be designated as one of the following, based on the sex at birth of the participating students (Sec. 2):

    • Females, women, or girls;

    • Males, men, or boys; or

    • Coeducational or mixed.

  • Requires that only female students, based on their sex, may participate in any team, sport, or athletic event designated as being for females, women, or girls (Sec. 2).

  • Authorizes students that suffer a direct or indirect harm as a result of a violation of this act to seek damage payments and declaratory relief against the entity that violated this law within 2 years of when the violation occured (Sec. 2).

  • Specifies that this act shall take effect immediately upon passage and signage into law (Sec. 3).
