  • Specifies that the teacher’s personal leave shall be accrued as earned throughout the employment term at the end of each pay period or on the last workday for separating employees (Article 4, Sec. 18A-4-10).

  • Authorizes a county superintendent to advance an employee’s personal leave during the employee’s first year of employment if the employee needs to be absent from assigned duties and the employee has never earned personal leave prior in any prior employment term (Article 4, Sec. 18A-4-10).

  • Prohibits a county superintendent from more advancing personal leave to any county  board employee than they are otherwise awarded under law (Article 4, Sec. 18A-4-10).

  • Requires an employee to reimburse the county board for salary and wages paid for un-accumulated personal leave they use that they have not yet accumulated on a monthly basis (Article 4, Sec. 18A-4-10).
