Vote to pass a bill that reduces school board terms from 5 to 4 years.
Highlights:

Establishes that each school board member will be elected for a term of 4 years following the member’s election, except when such election is to fill an unexpired term (Sec. 1).

Requires the State Board of Education upon consolidation to appoint 5 members of the previously existing school boards of the consolidating districts and will designate each member to serve for a term of 5 years, 4 years, 3 years, 2 years, and 1 year, respectively (Sec. 2).
