Vote to pass a bill that authorizes counties and municipalities to bond for alternative fuel vehicles.

Highlights:

• Authorizes counties and municipalities to bond for alternative fuel vehicles (Sec. 1).

• Defines “alternative fuel vehicles” as any passenger car, station wagon, or other motor vehicle that is not solely propelled by gas or diesel fuel, and shall include, but not be limited to (Sec. 1):

• Electric vehicles;

• Plug-in hybrid vehicles;

• Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles;

• Natural gas vehicles; and

• Defines “plug-in hybrid vehicles” as any passenger car, station wagon, or other motor vehicle that can be charged from a source of electricity external to the vehicle through an electric plug, but which is not solely powered by electricity (Sec. 1).

• Defines “propane vehicle” as any passenger car, station wagon, or other motor vehicle that is propelled solely by liquified petroleum gas or by any mixture of liquefied petroleum gas and diesel fuel (Sec. 1).
