Vote to pass a bill that modifies, expands, and reauthorizes the Family Violence and Prevention Services program through Fiscal Year 2026.

Highlights:

• Expands and reauthorizes the Family Violence and Prevention Services program through the Fiscal Year 2026 to fund emergency shelters and supports related assistance for victims of domestic violence (Sec. 3).

• Requires the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to award grants and enter into cooperative agreements with state and tribal domestic violence coalitions, and community-based organizations to support prevention services (Sec. 3).

• Specifies that the aforementioned grants be used for the following purposes, including (Sec. 3):

• Provide technical assistance;

• Promote evidence-informed prevention strategies;

• Implement coordinated, community responses to reduce risk factors; and

• Develop prevention partnership strategies.
