Vote to pass a bill that authorizes a county of the fifth class to create the office of deputy superintendent of elections once the office of superintendent of elections has been established.
Authorizes the governing body of a county to create the office of deputy superintendent of elections once the office of superintendent of elections has been established and have the position filled by the Governor’s nomination with the advice and consent of the Senate (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the aforementioned deputy nominee appointment shall only serve for 5 years (Sec. 1).
Prohibits the deputy superintendent of elections from being from the same political party as the superintendent of elections (Sec. 1).
