Vote to pass a bill that requires that elections must be funded by only appropriations from federal, state, or local government entities.

Highlights:

• Requires elections held in this state to be funded only by lawful appropriations from the government of the United States, the state of Idaho, or other local governments, including counties, cities, and special taxing districts (Sec. 1).

• Prohibits county clerks, local elections offices, or other local governing bodies administering or conducting an election from accepting or expending any grant, gift, or funding from any private persons, corporations, organizations, business entities, political parties, or any other private entity (Sec. 1).

• Specifies this section does not apply to the collection of fees authorized by law (Sec. 1).
