Title: Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2022
Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for the Department of Labor, Education, and related agencies for fiscal year 2022.
Appropriates the following budgetary amounts for fiscal year 2022-2023 to various agencies and programs within the Department of Labor, including (Division A, Title I, Sec. 4):
$4.4 billion to the Employment and Training Administration;
$218.5 million for the Employee Benefits Security Administration;
$472.9 million for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation;
$300 million for the Wage and Hour Division;
$44.38 million for the Office of Labor-Management Standards salaries and expenses;
$140.7 million for costs related to the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs;
$138.6 million for the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs;
$691.8 million for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration;
$404.8 million for the Mine Safety and Health Administration;
$632.7 million for the Bureau of Labor Statistics;
$42.7 million for the Office of Disability Employment Policy; and
$456.9 million for departmental management salaries and expenses.
Appropriates the following budgetary amounts for fiscal year 2022-2023 to various agencies and programs within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including (Division A, Title II, Sec. 115):
$1.83 billion for the Health Resources and Services Administration;
$531.6 million for for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC);
$6.8 billion for the National Institutes of Health (NIH);
$3 billion for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health;
$3.1 billion for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration;
$250.7 million for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality;
$368.6 million for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS);
$2.8 billion for the Administration for Children Families;
$3.1 billion for the Administration for Community Living; and
$582.9 million for the Office of the Secretary.
Appropriates the following budgetary amounts for fiscal year 2022-2023 to various agencies and programs within the Department of Education, including (Division A, Title III, Sec. 248):
$36.8 billion for costs related to Education for the Disadvantaged programs;
$1.5 billion for carrying out Impact Aid financial assistance;
$5.8 billion for school improvement programs;
$187.7 million for Indian Education programs;
$1.3 billion for Innovation and Improvement Projects;
$1.7 billion for Safe Schools and Citizenship Education programs;
$1 billion for English Language Acquisition;
$17.2 billion for Special Education spending;
$3.9 billion for rehabilitation services;
$37.4 million for special institutions for persons with disabilities;
$2.2 billion for Career, Technical, and Adult Education expenses;
$27.2 billion for Student Financial Assistance;
$2 billion for Student Aid Administration;
$3.4 billion for Higher Education costs and expenses;
$411 million for Howard University;
$24.2 million for the Historically Black College and University Capital Financing Program Account;
$762.5 million for the Institute of Education Sciences; and
$480 million for Departmental Management Program Administration.
Appropriates funds for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the following agencies, including (Division A, Title IV, Sec. 118):
$12 million to the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled;
$1.1 billion for the Corporation for National and Community Service;
$565 million for the Corporation of Public Broadcasting;
$50 million for salaries and expenses for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service;
$17.5 million for salaries and expenses for the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission;
$282 million for the Institute of Museum and Library Services;
$9.5 million for expenses to the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission;
$13.3 million for salaries and expenses for the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission;
$3.8 million for salaries and expenses for the National Council on Disability;
$316.9 million for salaries and expenses for the National Labor Relations Board;
$15.5 million for salaries and expenses for the National Mediation Board;
