  • Specifies that the department may, not later than August 1, 2021, annually select one or more vendors to make available an early warning system (Sec. 1).

  • Establishes that the department may require that the vendor or vendors provide to the department, at least twice annually a summary report in the aggregate regarding (Sec. 1):

    • Students who, based on graduation indicators, are not on track to graduate on time;

    • The intervention plans implemented for the students in attempting to ensure the students graduate on time; and

    • Whether the intervention plans are, based on graduation indicators, successful in moving students to be on track to graduate on time and, if applicable, graduating on time to evaluate the return on investment of intervention programs.

  • Establishes that not later than January 1, 2022, each school corporation and charter school is to adopt and implement an Internet use policy that adheres to the following (Sec. 2):

    • Prohibits the sending, receiving, viewing, or downloading of materials that are harmful to minors (as described in IC 35-49-2-2) on computers and other technology-related devices owned by the school corporation or charter school;

    • Provides for the use of hardware or installation of software on computers and other technology-related devices to filter or block Internet access to materials that are harmful to minors; and

    • Establishes appropriate disciplinary measures to be taken against persons violating the policy established under this section.

  • Establishes that not later than January 1, 2022, each school corporation and charter school is to use hardware or install software on computers and other technology-related devices to filter or block Internet access to materials that are harmful to minors (Sec. 2).

  • Requires that each school corporation and charter school post on the school corporation's or charter school's Internet website the Internet use policy (Sec. 2).

  • Specifies that pupil enrollment under this chapter is to be determined at the same time that a school corporation's fall count of ADM is determined (Sec. 3).

  • Establishes that pupil enrollment under this chapter is to, for informational purposes only, be determined at the same time that a school corporation's spring count of ADM is determined; however, the spring count of pupil enrollment is not to be used for determining a career and technical education enrollment grant under this chapter (Sec. 3).

  • Establishes that an emergency is declared for this act (Sec. 4).
