    • The special election was called before June 15, 2021;

    • The original date of the special election is not more than 30 days before or 30 days after the date of the gubernatorial recall election; and

    • The call to consolidate is issued within 4 days from the date of issuance of the Lieutenant Governor’s proclamation.

  • Requires the Secretary of State to notify each county elections official when one or more county elections officials have received a petition signed by a sufficient number of registered voters to recall an election (Sec. 3).

  • Requires the Department of Finance to estimate the costs of the recall election upon receipt of the notification from the Secretary of State that there are a sufficient number of verified signatures (Sec. 3).

  • Requires the 2021 gubernatorial recall election to be conducted as a regular election for the office of Governor (Sec. 4).

  • Establishes $35,000,000 for supporting costs relating to administering the 2021 gubernatorial recall election (Sec. 5).
