Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that authorizes a recall election without the approval of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee.

Highlights:

• Authorizes election officials to establish consolidated precinct boards, located within the same physical polling place and while maintaining separate geographical precincts, while maintaining a ratio of one board for every 10,000 registered voters (Sec. 1).

• Requires consolidated polling places to be equitably distributed and compliant with assisting individuals with disabilities (Sec. 1).

• Requires two ballot drop-off locations in counties with consolidated polling (Sec. 1).

• Requires all ballot drop-off locations to be open at least during regular business hours beginning not less than 28 days before the election and for at least 12 hours per day (Sec. 1).

• Requires the Department of Finance to estimate the costs of the recall election upon receipt of the notification from the Secretary of State that there are a sufficient number of verified signatures (Sec. 3).

• Requires the 2021 gubernatorial recall election to be conducted as a regular election for the office of Governor (Sec. 4).

• Establishes $35,000,000 for supporting costs relating to administering the 2021 gubernatorial recall election (Sec. 5).
