Vote to pass a bill that establishes a tax treaty between the city of East Providence and ExxonMobil Oil Corporation subject to the ratification of the East Providence city council.
Highlights:
- Authorizes the city of East Providence to enter into a tax treaty agreement with respect to property owned by ExxonMobil Oil Corporation on Wampanoag Trail. The tax treaty will include, but not be limited to, adjusted assessments, tax credits, future sales and development of the property. The tax treaty must be ratified by the East Providence city council and the term will not exceed 10 years (Sec. 1).
