Title: Limits Out of Pocket Cost for Insulin to $30 for a 30 Day Supply
Vote to pass a bill that limits the out of pocket cost for insulin to $30 for a 30 day supply.
Requires the total amount that a covered person is to pay out of pocket for covered prescription insulin drugs to be capped at an amount not to exceed thirty dollars per thirty-day supply, regardless of the amount or type of insulin needed to fill such covered person's prescription and regardless of the insured's deductible, copayment, coinsurance or any other cost-sharing requirement (Sec. 1.B).
Specifies coverage may be subject to annual deductibles and coinsurance as may be deemed appropriate by the superintendent and as are consistent with those established for other benefits within a given policy (Sec. 2.B).
