Highlights:

 

  • Amends the Constitution of Montana to require that petitions or initiatives for constitutional amendments be signed by at least 20 percent of electors in 3/5ths of the legislative districts, as opposed to the previous 10 percent of 2/5ths of legislative districts (Sec. 1).

  • Specifies that the amendment will be submitted to the qualified voters of Montana at the November 2022 election by printing on the title the full title of the new act established by this bill, and allowing voters to select yes or no (Sec. 4).
