Title: Reduces the Number of Campaign Finance Filing Dates to Quarterly in Election Years and Semi-Annually in Non-Election Years

Vote to pass a bill that reduces the number of campaign filing dates to quarterly in election years and semi-annually in non-election years

Highlights:

 

  • Requires each candidate, single candidate political campaign committee, single measure political campaign, and multicandidate political campaign committee to file financial statements and reports to the registry of election finance or county election commission, quarterly during an election year, specifically on the following dates, including (Sec. 1):

    • Within 10 days following the conclusion of March 31;

    • Within 10 days following the conclusion of June 30;

    • Within 10 days following the conclusion of September 30; and

    • Within 10 days following the conclusion of January 15.

  • Requires the report to include lists of all the contributions received, including the full name, complete address, occupation, and employer of each individual who contributed during the period, and the dollar amount that was contributed (Sec. 9).

  • Establishes that this act shall take effect January 1, 2022 (Sec. 16).
