Title: Reduces Access to Abortion Pills

Vote to pass a bill that reduces access to pills that induce abortion.

Highlights:

 

  • Requires physicians to examine a woman before administering an abortion-inducing drug and do the following (Sec. 1):

    • Independently verify that there is an intrauterine pregnancy;

    • Determine the woman’s blood type; and

    • Document in the woman’s medical chart the gestational age of the fetus and intrauterine location of the pregnancy and determination of  whether the woman received treatment for Rh negativity.

  • Prohibits manufacturers, suppliers and physicians from distributing an abortion inducing drugs via courier, delivery or mail (Sec. 1).

  • Requires physicians to schedule a follow-up appointment with the patient within 7 to 14 days from prescribing the abortion-inducing pill and requires that they document all efforts to ensure that the patient shows up for the follow-up appointment (Sec. 1).
