Title: Prohibits Settlement of Election-Related Civil Actions in Certain Cases
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the Secretary of State from settling election-related civil actions without first consulting the county recorders or other election officers if such a settlement materially affects those election officers.
Prohibits the settlement of election-related civil actions if it materially affects a county recorder or other officers in charge of elections and the parties being sued provide proof of the difficulty and impracticability of the suit (Sec. 1).
Requires the Secretary of State to consult with the County recorder and other officers in charge of elections before considering settling a civil action (Sec. 1).
Allows any county recorder or other officers in charge of elections to join in civil actions (Sec. 1).
