    • English and language arts and reading;

    • Mathematics;

    • Biology, physical science, and earth science;

    • Arts education;

    • World languages;

    • Health and wellness education;

    • Physical education;

    • Engineering and technologies; and

    • Personal finance literacy.

  • Requires a school demonstrate that it provides the opportunity for an adequate education for the school approval standards set forth in rules adopted by the Department of Education in the following areas (Sec. 7):

    • English and language arts and reading;

    • Mathematics;

    • Biology, physical science, and earth science;

    • Social studies, Civics and government, economics, geography, and history;

    • Arts education;

    • World languages;

    • Health and wellness education;

    • Physical education;

    • Engineering and technologies;

    • Computer science and digital literacy, Personal finance literacy;

    • School year; and

    • Minimum credits required for a high school diploma.
