  • Authorizes a defendant or the Department of Corrections to file a motion for reduction in sentence if the covered offense occurred before October 1st, 2013, and the defendant demonstrated behavior that would prove his or her fitness for resentencing, accompanied by evidence of the fact (Pg. 3). 

  • Specifies a motion for sentence reduction cannot be entertained if a previous motion for sentence reduction has been denied or if the individual is not currently serving their sentence in a Department of Corrections Facility (Pg. 4).
