Title: Repeals the Lifetime Ban on Drug Felons Receiving TANF Benefits
Vote to pass a bill that repeals the lifetime ban on drug felons receiving TANF benefits.
Specifies Temporary Assistance to Needy Families will be distributed according to (Sec. 1):
Assistance eligibility qualifications;
Employability assessment, work activities, and supportive services;
Conditions of continued eligibility, eligibility time limits, eligibility recertification periods, and exemptions;
Disqualification for intentional program violation or failure to comply with program requirements;
Benefit recovery and recoupment policies and procedures;
Methods of distribution and payment of moneys appropriated by the Legislature or received from the federal government;
Development of applications, reports, and other forms;
Enforcement of child support obligations;
Collection, audit, and reporting of facts and statistics relating to the field of public assistance;
Compliance with federal reporting and documentation requirements necessary to qualify for federal funds; and
Any other standards of operation and administration.
