A vote to pass a bill that would authorize transference of money for cash assistance during the COVID-19 emergency.
Highlights:

Appropriates $73 million to the controlled maintenance trust fund and $73 million to the disaster emergency fund from the state emergency reserve (Sec. 1.a)

Specifies if the transferred money is not needed in the 2020-21 fiscal year to respond to COVID-19, then it will remain in the trust fund and be available for the general assembly to designate as part of the state emergency reserve for the next fiscal year (Sec. 1.f).

Specifies directions regarding reimbursement from the federal government for any expenditures from the disaster emergency fund, including (Sec. 2.b II):

The state treasurer shall deposit the reimbursement into the controlled maintenance trust fund; and
